Welcome to Connors Family Kennels!
The Connors family of Maine has been producing alapahas since 1994. We are the only breeders in the breed to have competed
against Lana Lane at the 1996 Cherry Blossom Classic in Washington D.C. We were invited to the show by Lana Lane herself.
Well suprise suprise we left with first place in best of opposite sex and best male. We won over michaela, choco lot, ginger,
and cordell. The dogs we won with were ch. connors jesse and ch. connors brutus aka nixons mason, bred by us. We have supplied
foundation dogs to some of the top names in the breed. To name a few dogs bred by us are as follows; Twin Elms Cierra
bred by us and given to Twin Elms for use in thier breeding program. Connors Annie Oakley, Connors Jane were
given to BBB's Kennels. Dogs produced off our stud dog Doc Holiday, BBB's Legend, and BBB's June Bug.

Over the past decade we have been striving to produce consistent, healthy, family oriented work capable dogs. Our
goal is to produce family dogs without losing thier physical and mental capabilities of accomplishing thier intended work
abilities. After all, if a dog isn't capable of doing thier intended job, that they have been bred to do, thier just
another dog. We realize most people are not going to put thier dogs to the test to prove their intended working ability.
But isn't it nice to know its there? All of our original stock was put to the test. Our testings included, hunting wild
boar, catching cows, and man work. Alot of dogs were cut from the breeding program and only dogs that were capable of
accomplishing thier inherent task were allowed to be bred. And with this being said, we feel as though we offer some
of the finest alapaha bulldogs available. For the first time we are offering stud service to some of our studs.
Our reason behind this is as follows: There are so many breeders out there supposedly certified and supposed experts
on the breed that its just appeared to us that this is one more attempt to keep control of thier money making dynasty.
We have never breed our dogs for money, and never felt as though they should be considered an income. We are also concerned
about the way some of the dogs are being portrayed as alapahas. So this being said we are allowing the public
access for the first time to some of our stock. The following dogs are available to public stud;(pedigrees and photos can
be furnished upon request) Connors Tom - Connors Bandit - Shays Joe - Shays Jack - Shays Buster - Shays Goldberg and
of course Hogan. We rarely sell dogs to the public this may change over the next year. We feel as though
our strain offers intelligent, physically capable true examples of what the breed was intended to be. And also, we are
willing to work with any breeders who are interested in producing dogs who have only been told one side of the story.
